Little Miss Hummer

I have been desperately trying to get a video of the little hummer that visits my feeder here at my kitchen window. She is so skittish so it's been a challenge to get even a picture of her. I wish I would have had my camera handy a few days ago as she & another female were hovering around fanning their feathers at each other in a fierce competition to dominate the feeder here. It was most interesting & neither one of them seemed to notice me gawking at them as they performed their little dances.

I have enjoyed the hummingbirds tremendously this year. I've seen more females than males & usually it's the other way around. Not sure what that means! But at any rate, they are a pleasure to observe.
